Day 93: Dickinson, ND

The wind was strong again today, but more of a crosswind. I stopped at Dakota Cyclery in Medora, ND, the shop that had shipped me a replacement wheel, and had them properly torque my cassette lock ring.

I took a short break at the Painted Canyon rest stop. There were some large animals (I think buffalo, but it was too far to see) hanging out in the canyon.

As I got close to Dickinson, the wind picked up and dark clouds rolled in. Storms were expected throughout the night. I had hoped the storms would come early and pass so that I could pitch my tent after, but no such luck. I ultimately got a motel room at Best Budget Inn.
