We had not planned ahead which crag to climb at and were surprised to find that Miguel’s is several miles from all of them. The nearest option required a permit request at least a week in advance. We decided to go to Muir Valley, about 8 miles away.
There was a lot of hiking to get to the walls and some areas were very busy. The routes we climbed were fun, but we only got a couple in because of how much time and energy was needed to travel. We did get back to camp before the rain.
