I finally got back on the toad this morning! I was on highway 200 all day. The weather was good with a gentle crosswind in the morning which turned into a strong headwind in the afternoon.
I stopped at a rest stop and saw a bird on the sidewalk with its mouth open. It stayed put as I walked up to it and dripped some water into its mouth. The bird drank the water and then flew up to my pants pocket where it sat for a couple minutes before flying away.
When I got to Circle, everything besides the gas station was closed. I also missed the rodeo, which ended yesterday (probably good because I will get to sleep on time). I camped in the city park.
