Day 97: Kindred, ND

It is becoming noticeable that the days are getting shorter. It is not light enough to begin riding until after 6am now. This morning there was thick fog again, luckily not many cars and you can hear them from about a mile away even if you can’t see them.

The fog cleared around 10am and there was a mild tailwind all afternoon. I was a bit disappointed to skip camping in Enderlin because they have put a lot of effort into being a bike friendly town, but I wanted to get in more miles.

I got a cucumber at a local farm stand. It had been a long time since I saw a farm stand with anything other than eggs. I camped at the Kindred city park. Nothing here explicitly says it’s okay to camp, which makes me a bit nervous I could be asked to leave, but it is on the official Adventure Cycling map and I have seen blogs of others camping here recently.

A group of kids approached me at the park. They had a bunch of questions about my bike and where I was riding. They invited me to come to the highschool football game, but I declined.
