Only a half day of riding and mostly on rail trails. I got to Devil’s Lake State Park around 1pm and just in time for a downpour. The staff in the visitor center had an old climbing guide book they let me read through.
Once the rain passed, I went to check out the largest climbing area. I biked on a gravel rescue access road and parked my bike on a trail before hiking the last section. Some climbers suggested an area to start at tomorrow that would have tree anchors available.
My right pedal was starting to go, so I stopped at a bike shop on the way to camp to buy a new pair. Camping at the state park was sold out several weeks in advance, so I had to get a site at an RV camp 10 miles away.
Friends arrived after 9pm, pitched tents, then went into town to grab a late dinner. I went to sleep.
