I got a late start (intentionally, expecting it to be a short day and trying to wait out rush hour). I was immediately confronted with unrelenting headwind that turned it into a rather long day. I spent the night at Warm Showers hosts, Ed & Deb’s, house. They also helped me route plan both for getting in and out of Cullman, which saved me from attempting some more dangerous roads and shared veggies from their garden.
