This morning I crossed over the Ohio River into Indiana to follow the ACA Underground Railroad route. It was interesting to see how different the roads are between states. The main thing I noticed was that Indiana roads had more stop signs in the middle or bottom of hills and more sharp turns in the middle of roads.

I had noticed that my rear derailleur was not being very responsive toward the end of the day yesterday. I attempted to clean the spring with chain lube since that was all I had. The problem got worse today and a shift error locked up my chain in the front derailleur getting everything out of whack. By chance I happened to be right across from the Fuller Center, an organization that works on affordable housing and has an annual cross-country bike tour fundraiser. They lent me a can of WD40 and I readjusted my drive train. The rear derailleur is still giving some trouble and I plan to do a more thorough cleaning when I can get my hands on some q-tips.

I ended the day at Vastwood Park campground and pitched my tent overlooking the lake. City owned campgrounds like this are my favorite because they are reasonably priced, never too crowded, and reasonably near stores.
