Days 63-64: Port Gamble, WA

I made a trip out to the peninsula. I took the Edmonds-Kingston ferry across the sound on Friday afternoon. I spent some time hanging out in a park where I met an unattended dog. It’s owner appeared to be taking a nap in their car. We played fetch for a good while before the owner awoke and took the dog.

In the evening, I went to the Cellar Cat Wine Bar in Kingston to hear some live music. There were 2 resident dogs here!

I then headed to Port Gamble to go on a biominescent kayak tour. It was interesting to see the plankton sparkle. You can scoop up some plankton and it will continue to light up in your hand, which is a little unnerving.

The tour ended very late since it has to be dark to see the bioluminescence. I briefly camped then headed beck to Kingston to catch the first ferry back across in the morning.
