Day 112: Baraboo, WI

Not quite as cold this morning. First thing, we broke camp and headed to the park. I thought I found an area we could set up right away, but when I found the top, someone had set at least 8 different anchors and only dropped 1 rope. No one was climbing and only 2 people were around – it was pretty frustrating.

We had difficulty finding another empty area that we could identify from both top and bottom and which had enough natural anchors to rig from. Eventually, we settled on an area that is not identified in guide books or on Mountain Project just past Hawk’s Nest. It turned out to be a really fun wall.

After climbing the car folks headed back to Chicago and I got a campsite at Devil’s Lake State Park.
