I started the day finishing the last couple Kentucky hills. Luckily, the dogs mostly went away in Virginia and the hills became less steep. It even started to warm up in the afternoon and the less steep hills became rolling hills.
I ended the day in Damascus, VA at “The Place”, a bunkhouse for Transamerica cyclists and long distance Appalachian Trail hikers run by the love cal Methodist church. There were a couple hikers staying as well and we discussed the similarities and differences between hiking and biking.
